Hi,
I have an odd problem with my Oly C-8080 and Ike DS-125 strobe. When in TTL mode and manual 1/2 power or less, the combination seem to work OK. However when I switch the strobe to manual full power, they are no longer in sync. The camera fires before the strobe does. This happens when the strobe in full power only and with the camera set on manual, external strobe only, "slow1" flash mode (the automatic default).
I think what may be happening is that the camera is sending out two pulses (one to reduce red eye ? and a second to fire the strobe). I defineatly see two flashes when the strobe is set under 1/2 power. From what I can see there is no way to activate (or de-activate) the red eye feature when using an external strobe.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and is there a way I can resolve it ?? I appreciate everyone's help and apologize for starting up yet another thread !!!
