Swimmer's ear and middle ear infections requiring tubes (as you described) are two seperate entities that have two different causes and two different treatments. It is impossible to offer advice without a more detailed review of your ear problem history. I would speak with your physician.

No need to purchase it, just mix it up at home. Buy the cheap store-brand rubbing alcohol, and the cheap store brand white wine vinegar. Mix 50-50 into a suitable container, and you're done.

If you can follow a recipe on pancake mix (or bisquick), you're way ahead of the skills needed.
