Would like to post a question to owners of Suunto Stingers. Did your Stingers ever had "corrosion" or rust on the metal part. Specifically, between the bezel and the crown.
Just wanted to find out whether my case is isolated or if there are others who have had the same experience.
Thanks.

I've the normal Stinger with the rubber strap since 2001 and have seen no corrosion on my watch. I'm always careful to wash the computer off with fresh water after a days diving though.

Hope this is of some use. My recommendation is ask Suunto if it should happen.

I'm really bad about mine... I'll take it off after a dive, throw it in my drysuit pocket, and leave it there until the next dive.

Salt crystals yes.... rusting no.

I have the stinger with stainless steel band and I have never had or seen corrosion anywhere on it. Wash real good and you shouldn't have any problems. So like mark said contact suunto

good luck
