I bought a Gekko console mount second hand and found out that the depth does not read at all on it. It only has 37 dives on the history and best I can tell it looks like it read al dives correct up until now. It is outside the warrenty period and one of the service centers I have contacted said it may be unrepairable. Has anyone had this problem with their Gekko? Thanks.

My Gekko was flawless for the year I used it.
Did you take the battery out and leave it overnight...then pop it back in? The service centers are right...they are pretty cheap to replace.

Good luck,
U/O

Maybe you should contact sununto directly and see what they can do.

We have 2 Gekkos and a Vyper (essentially the same) with more than 2000 total dives, which have never given us a minutes trouble. But, there have been reports of these and several other Suunto models with bad depth sensors. Probably your best option is to contact Suunto. I regularly see used wrist mount Gekkos selling on ebay for more than $200. This has always amazed me, because the current Leisurepro price for a new wrist mount Gekko is about $225.
