Wow. Revolutionary info there....whitehead:
US$1250 shipped with transmitter, PC software, 4 year warranty. I just ordered mineMarcus80:Yes, but $999.00 without the transmitter. I think they sell them for 1300 complete. You should be able to get one from your LDS for $1400 and tax.
Got mine 10 days ago, and made my first dive with it yesterday. The functionalities are really nice, and so is the look. I particularly like the built-in compass, since in the murky waters of Lake Geneva this is a crucial piece of gear...Diver0001:Did anyone buy a Suunto D9 yet? It looks sweet.
RSdiver:Both errors indicate you have no dives on the unit, hence no logs and no data to transfer to your PC.
Why are you trying to perform this task?

Now for the not-so-nice stuff. I really hate Suunto Dive Manager 2.x, but you need this POS to download your dive data from the D9. I may start a separate thread on this, because I think that Suunto really missed the boat with SDM2. Second, I had a very hard time reading the D9's display. I am wearing a mask with reading lenses at the bottom, which is usually enough to read my instruments. With the D9, I could hardly read the depth, let alone the remaining tank pressure, ND time, etc. Conditions were far from ideal, and I was a bit stressed from having forgotten my ankle weights and thus being a little underweighted, but I had no trouble reading the Uwatec bottom timer's display on my other wrist. More when I have more than one dive on the D9...
moorenard:Can anyone tell me if the D9 is as conservative as the Stinger. I recently sold my Stinger because it would put me into Deco much faster than my wifes Suunto Octopus. I cannot imagine doing a liveaboard with the Stinger. Does anyone know if the D9 is as conservative as the Stinger?? Would the Deep Stop method help to alleviate this??
