My mom has a suunto D4i that died on us over the weekend. In the middle of a dive it stopped and has been unresponsive ever since. We had the battery changed about 2 weeks ago and the computer has less than 25 dives on it ever. It is just outside warranty.

When they reopened it at our dive shop they didn't see any moisture inside. He changed the battery and it remained unresponsive.

I think it is probably compromised and ruined.

Do any of you have experience with this?

Is there a way i can replace this 900$ computer with less than 25 dives? even outside warranty?

Try getting in touch with Suunto. I’ve previously had failures fixed by them even when I’ve been out of warranty.
