Suunto Cobra hose

I have issues with the quick release mechanism on my cobra that I have had for years, one of them being the simple weigh of it when it comes to travel, anyway I bought a new HP braided flexible hose for it and I was just going to connect the new hose directly to the cobra but it seem like the thread on the cobra is not very long or the thread on the hose is to long either way it does not seal and it leaks. Yes, I have the oring on the cobra but it does not seal and leaks.

Has anyone else has this problem? Can I use any HP hose or does it have to be some special Suunto one?

More than likely the spool that goes between the hose and computer is missing. That is what actually does the sealing not the threading of the hose and computer.
