I have a 2 yr old Cobra 3 that has made 20 dives. It hasn't been used for 11 months. Fired it up and got a Low Battery warning. Instructions say that if it's been stored for a while I may get the message but the battery may be okay and to try again. On second or third try I get "Battery ok". However the next time I turn it in I got Low Battery again. Over several times I seem to get Low Battery 2 out of three times.

Is this normal? How long should the battery last on these things with occasional use? I'm on Brac right now and hoping to not to need to change it during the trip.

Thanks,
Dave

It may be that the battery that came with the Cobra was old and weak. I would change the battery. I'd just take it to a dive shop and have them change the batteries and replace the o ring.
