Just to see it- how bad it is and how the clean up is going. Plus I was thinking of going fishing this weekend and a few of my favorite holes are there.
Nothing unscrupulous or illegal, if that is your concern- not that sort of fellow.

Which bridge are you referring to?
The big one. I'm aware of only one. There is one down the road a piece at San Louis Pass, but I'm not sure that is Surfside up there, technically.
 
Don't think the bridge or surfside is closed anymore.
Your fishing holes may not be there anymore.:depressed::depressed:
Ike restructured the coast, sandbars and guts are moved.
Good luck finding fish
 
Parts of the roads in/around Surfside are uh... missing.

Makes for interesting *detours*.
 
Bridge is drivable from what I've heard, but the road have been washed out in several places. Stick to the beach for driving (from experience).
