I'm willing to bet that next to surfers, spear fishing's gotta be up there with shark incidents, with dead fish dangling beneath you...
 
So, Could this have been prevended? Does anyone know if ther are natural breeding grounds /times for sharks where this type of thing is avoid /minimized like Bodaga bay where we know certain times each year Great Whites spawn and divers, surfers and just about everyone stays out of the way for a few months.

Could this area be like that only we just have not defined it yet! I for one would like to see this type of info posted somewhere. BTW, I surf, snorkel, sail, swim, etc. You never see the one that gets you, when you do see one comming at you you are able to warn others in the water by producing the "brown cloud" indicating that there is a shark in the water.

Yes, I saw that... trully sad. But she shouldn't have been practicing at Shark feeding time! :shark:
