Hey all you diver's. Can't decide which to go. Which has the best overall diving,resort? Sunset House, Grand Cayman vs Coco View, Roatan. Thanks for any help with this.

I've been to both. 1st, the islands are totally different. Cocoview is accessible only by boat. You will not be able to walk to town or off the resort. Now, diving: cocoview wins hands down. More to see and the reef is in much better shape. Thank the cruise ships in Cayman for blowing silt everywhere. Both resorts are very friendly.

I just got back from 2 weeks at CoCoView. If you want to get into town, the office will help you go. They also have an excursion once a week. The diving was better than expected. The staff was great. Tim in the dive/photography shop is very good...HUGE help. It took about a day to get used to the routine at the resort, then all was great. I'm ready to go back now, and that has nothing to do with all the miserable snow and ice around here. Another place you might want to consider is Utila Lodge on Utila...it is in town. My husband and I have been there 4 times and are going back again in March....whale shark time!
