Sunken Ship....... With nothing SHINY on board

:crying2: I'm very annoyed........ Diving off the coast of my great city Edinburgh, found a Basking shark,:banana: and then found a ship. Of course, me and my diving buddy thought there would be something SHINY on board, know what I mean?

But there wasn't! NOT FAIR!

well...stuff ain't always shiny - buddy of mine kept moving this chunk of conglomerate around on a 19th century wreck - it was always in his way as he was grubbing - after about the 5th - 6th time he dove the wreck, he brought a BAH (big-butted-hammer) - smacked it a couple of times and inside was a brass signalling cannon...about three feet long - could still read the makers information - looked like a coat of arms - turned down a whole bunch of $'s for it...

Cool! But the only thing on my ship was a saucepan and a bunch of knives.....

Being from Edinburgh surely you realise that you'll have had your shiny stuff?

Get Bob Baird's 'Shipwrecks of the Forth' and you get a whole list of wrecks that might have shiny stuff on them for future dives.

I know what you mean, but did you determine there was nothing shiny on only one dive? How old is this wreck? Probably been picked, and picked. Do you have a metal detector? Get away from the main site and do some handfanning. Let me know how you do. I'll take 10% for advice. I also identify, appraise, buy and sell, and make sandwich's. Fizz
