Another great day of diving!! Only 7 divers, 4 of which were in my group. They definitely hooked us up by agreeing to go with only 5 confirmed divers. And I'm not even a friend of the boat. LOL

First dive was at Gravel Point. On descent we're going down the anchor line. I am a foot from the line. I check my gauges, make sure the light is on...the line is 15 ft away and moving further. I start my frog kick and with a couple strokes realize that isn't going to work. I flutter kick with enthusiasm and get back to the line. At the bottom one buddy shows up but the other two aren't in sight. We decide to surface to A) Account for everyone's safety and B) let them know WE are safe. We change the plan to descend closer to shore (one diver had enough of that site and skipped it). Dive went well the rest of the way.

Second dive was Sea Fan Grotto and, of course, went well. Love the structure at this site. Same critters as always...nothing wild here. Two buddies had their first overhead experience as they swam in/out of the "grotto."

Third dive was at Kroll's. It was the first time any of us have been there. This became my favorite spot but I could see why Kayaa recommended it only for very small groups. Saw a few eels, bugs and amazing structure.

Last dive (yep...four dives) was west side of Long Point (or something like that). I skipped this dive but the buddies said it was a nice site. They didn't come back screaming in excitement but they enjoyed it.

Very calm surface conditions, sunny weather, great people and a VERY leisurely pace makes for one of my best dive days to date. Hope everyone is getting out there at least once this weekend.

Great report on two wheels. I was also one of the lucky seven and I agree it was a great trip. I loved the fact that we had great service despite the fact that the boat was more that half empty. They had to be a little disappointed with the poor turn out, but as a customer you would never know it.

Glad you guys had a great time. In my limited forays into SoCal, I found the Sundiver folks to be more than generous and customer-friendly.

Alas, up here the conditions are downright potentially fatal.

I made sure to tell my group to tip VERY well. We had one cancel so we all tipped enough that the 5th might as well have been there. Kayaa has always been great to me, often open to visiting new sites and never seems to be in a rush.

Make sure you doff your gear in the same spot every time. :crafty:

Yes, it was a great day of diving. The weather was perfect, my new semidry suit worked very well. I would definately agree that my experience on the sundiver express was one of the best times on a dive boat. Kayaa was super cool and very flexable. She let us choose the sites and and even took us to a cool site, I've never heard anyone talk about here. The 4th site, although I didn't come back screaming in excitement, was fun none the less. Especially since I dropped a fin just before jumping in and had to go on a hunt for it. Kicking around with one fin while trying to find the other was... not something I want to do again. Thank God I found the other as I just bought them and this was my first time using Jet Fins. But there she lay in 68 foot of water on the sandy bottom. Ahh life is good. Thanks Two wheels, and crazy chaos for a good swim. Nice meeting you also sunfishh. Sorry we missed you on the last dive. A special shout out to my last dive buddy for going on the 4th dive even if she was freezeing her ???? off.
