Was a beautiful day to be out diving! I got there a bit early to let rocket splash before dive and riana showed up soon after. We chatted a bit about her current diving experience and about where she was interested in going with her diving as we unloaded and set up gear.

There was a group of rebreather divers setting up next to us at benches and what looked like a class that showed up around same time. I walked back down to water to set up Rockets crate and inform fisherdude that this was a posted 'diving no fishing' area and we had divers gearing up to get in water and would he please move on to another spot.

I went up and slowly got my gear together, I did not have it very well organized and had actually left my compass at home. I did not really need it for this site, and plan was for Riana to lead and navigate and me to follow. She started out a bit heavy, was having to keep moving to keep from sinking, and was a little work to keep up with her at first. She got better dialed in through the dive, we found the platform with students on it right off and turned left and followed the line to the sailboat. Swam around the sailboat a bit and after swimming a circle or two she indicated for me to take lead so I took an easy tour in towards entry point, with me leading doin' the hover and look at rocks and fishes she was forced to continue to dial her buoyancy in rather than swim to hold depth and she got better as we puttered around at safety stop depth and worked way back to entry.

We popped up in front of stairs, talked about the hover and glide thing, checked remaining air and decided to continue with another short shallow dive. She indicated I should lead, I headed downslope to find a contour to follow and turned toward damn, following it till time to head upslope and find another contour to follow back. On second dive we found the commode, and one of the flamingos as well as the usual assortment of friendly fishes. After safety stop we ascended to surface south of stairs, inflated bc's and chatted as we kicked back to bottom of stairs.

Vis was not to bad, 6-12', water was warm at chosen dive depths and now I have used up my 72 and am ready to get it vis'ed. All in all a great was to spend a Sunday mornin' and I look forward to my next chance to dive with her.

Here are the dive profiles, the 13 minutes at surface was enough for my comp to call it two dives.
