Finally a little break in the weather and with low humidity and very flat
seas it was a great day in venice. The vis was very acceptable with
clear vis in the 4-6 ft. range and I was making out the shadows of
nearby structure at about 8-10 ft. As usual though I spent more time
just checking under structures and in weedy areas possibly finding a
seahorse but no luck on that. I forgot what it was like to dive with no
current. There was an ever so slight surge in some areas but nothing
bothersome at all. With the weather cooling I'm hoping to get back up there
a little more often. It really can be a fun day when the conditions are good !

good to see it's starting to clear up a bit. went to brohard 2 weeks ago..0-1 with 2-3ft rollers 100 yards from shore!

Nice report! In the future, please post dive reports for the Venice area in the http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/ve...-beach-weather-conditions-25.html#post4756334 thread.

Yeah, I saw the morning forecast of light winds out of the east and thought
well maybe the seas would be favorable. The vis is always just by chance
but anytime you get even 4-6 ft. vis it's a decent dive up there. The beach crowds
have thinned out a bit so even at the main beach there was plenty of parking.
If I don't do a boat dive on the other side this weekend I may head up that way
again if the forecast is decent ! Didn't notice the ongoing thread for conditions,
I'll post conditions to that thread if I get up that way this weekend. Safe diving
to all and hope for another nice weekend !
