skully....you didn't really share if you have a preference as to what part of the world you wish to travel, stay in the USA, how much $$ allocated for diving and travel, etc....

Well, wreck diving is not really for newbies, IMO. Get a few dozen dives, your Aow & Nitrox cards, and by then you'll know more where you're going.

If you haven't yet, click Forums above and start going thru the list - looking for those of interest to you, especially your local dive club. Always good to try a Search before starting a new thread, tho :search: and be careful about posting Threads & Replies without reading the Stickies at the tops of most forums. Click the link in my Sig below to PM me if I can help you around here..

Depends on what your comfort level is once certified. Take some advanced levels classes including a wreck specialty and then go from there. Remember! Never dive beyond your training and personal limitations!

Tobermory, Ontario Canada has some shallow wrecks that are nice beginner dives.

I would recommend the following wrecks (boat dives=accessed from a dive boat) for a new diver: Sweepstakes, City of Grand Rapids, W.L. Wetmore

The Tugs are a nice shore dive but you need to tow a dive flag so there's a little more complexity for a new diver, I would recommend getting someone who knows the area to take you out there the first time. It's an easy site but diving it with someone who is familiar with it will make your first time more enjoyable.
