Suggestions on analog depth gauge

The old ScubaPro so called helium gauge went to 500 feet and was and is accurate and altitude compensating but it had one gross fault, no following needle. The Tekna depth gauge and similar Oceanic models went to 230 feet or so and were also very accurate and did have a following needle. All of these are altitude compensating.

Most vintage gauges are pretty much c---p when it comes to actually using them to dive with, most are not accurate and did not work reliably when new much less several decades later, JMO, based on having owned a truck load of various models.

N, why so cynical. I have an Aquarius that works just fine, as long as I don't go deeper than 23' :D

Not cynical, practical, the vintage only runs so deep in my blood before function becomes primary.
