Go to the Pacific Ocean.
You are safe from Hurricanes there.
They just don't happen there.

It depends on your budget, Europe is nice and the Med has nice diving but with the Euro exchange rate it is a killer. Egypt and Turkey are relatively inexpensive but a bit longer flight so the flight is more expensive. NO Hurricaine or Monsoons to worry about. Then there is Hawaii, but everything there us a bit more costly.

PS I forgot, Cape Town South Africa has nice diving but it is a long flight.

Barbados?

My wife and I are divers. The kids 17 and 18 are not. Can anyone make suggestions for places to go that is not likely to get hit with a hurricaine othe than the abc islands
what time of year are you talking about?

yes, Pacific, like Hawaii doesn't have hurricanes but I am guessing from your question that you are only looking at Caribbean. Yes?

A question with too litte information.

* You're taking the kids with you as well?

* Assuming you are talking about during the months of the Caribbean Hurricane season?

Tons of information here. :search: for similar topics that show comnmon Caribbean storm tracks.

Maybe your answer would be: The storms also miss San Andres up to and around the Bay Islands.

Hurricane Iniki--Cat. 4 9/11/92 hit the heck out of Kaua'i
Hurricane Iwa--1982
Hurricane Dot--1959

Hawaii gets hit by hurricanes just not that often.

The Pacific has hurricanes. Or typhoons depending where you are, same thing. Yap is another example of a popular dive destination, got pretty destroyed in 2004 by Sudal, and there were others.

As far as the Caribbean - when? There are places less likely to get hit than others, and trends where certain places get hit more often earlier or later in the season. But it's all odds and statistics. It's rare, but there have even been rare occasions when your vacation in ABC would have been wrecked by a storm passing by. It doesn't always take a direct hit.
