I'm looking for suggestions for a dive trip destination for my girlfriend and I. She is a novice diver, but I've been diving for a few years with several hundred dives. I'm looking for a location that has something to offer both of us. Thanks in advance!!

strickly speaking of diving(seeing things, beautiful walls, & 'easy' diving), I'd look @ Little Cayman---------great divng......nite life, basically none(but wife & I look @ the diving end of most trips)....

Thoughts on Grand Cayman ?

You might want to consider Roatan...it is beautiful diving and is a great place for novices or advanced divers....do you have a type of place that you are looking for to stay?

CoCo View has some awesome shore diving Welcome to CoCo View Resort their website gives you a lot of information

here's another vote for CoCoView Resort! Top notch diving for beginners and advanced divers. Small cozy resort, good food, and best dive staff I have dealt with in over 10yrs of diving. :D
Ronscuba here on SB has some fantastic videos - RonScuba's videos on Vimeo

:D

How far afield doyou want to go? Quick trip, local or overseas for few weeks etc. May want to do some non diving too.

too many people----we quit going there in '92----couldn't get thru Georetown @ about noon due to all the cruise ship traffic(walkers)..was actually pulling the trigger on a condo @ Bonnie's Arch that day till the people thingy happened.....Bought in roatan the next year instead....

IMO, you're diving the wrong side of the island-----go to the north side---ie BIBR, AKR, or even West End.....that's my experience with 25 trips to the island..& btwm, LC kicks Roatan 2 to 1.....

I'm a big fan of Aruba, especially if it's not going to be a strictly diving vacation. Warm clear water. Shallow wrecks. Protected from hurricanes. Great beaches. Good nightlife. Wonderful restaurants, and a nice island breeze. Its not the Caymans or Bonaire as far as diving but still beautiful and easy diving.

you need to get to Dominica------kicks Roatan 4 to1 in diving & the stuff you can see topside 20 to 1------(think: Pirates of the Caribbean Part II--water falls, hot sulphur springs & BEAUTIFUL flora & fauna---see below---2nd pic a surface interval stop we made 400 YO church with hot ocean spa------the 1st one Tralfalgar Falls)'-I'm a believer.....lol
