Hi Gang,

As new divers to the area my wife and I are interested in reading up on the dive sites in and around OC. We live in Costa Mesa.

Are there any detailed topographical maps available? So far I have done Shaw's (thanks again Matt)

any pointing in the right direction would be appreciated!

dive safe,

Jeff

sandeaters.org provides detailed descriptions of dive sites, topo maps for most and list then by county from North to South. Trouble with most topo maps, or as they call them underwater, BATHYMETRY maps, in close to shore, they don't really exist with much detail due to the hazard to the ship towing the sonar array used to make them. The USGS has some of Monterey, SF and the Santa MOnica Bay, but they all start out beyond the end of any piers, or what would be a very long swim.

You might also try:
