simple: bungie and snaps.... pass bungie through the sewn loop & tie on snaps

or, tie loops at end and leave off snaps, and have snaps on what you are clipping off...

YMMV

Here is an option for adding a split ring connector inside the pocket. The one shown here is ~ 1-1/8" diameter.
If outside the pocket is an option, then maybe just add a sliding D-ring to the 2" belt webbing.

Quick update.

First, @JackD342, those look great, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere.

Second, I realized I was trying too hard. This was for a trip to Grand Cayman, which means I wasn’t going to need my usual weight pockets since I use so much less in a 3 mm. Therefore, my Hog weight pockets, which are larger than the pockets on the Litehawk, and have gusset openings where the front of the pocket folds up to velcro closed, were perfect for what I wanted to do.

@rhwestfall provided the visual with the bungee/snap drawing. I used paracord, instead, and threaded it through the loops on the back, then ran them into the bottom of the pockets. Worked great! Thanks for all the input.

Erik
