Work have me down in Brisbane for a couple of weeks and I will have at least two days over the next two weekends I can get out and dive. I have already dived the HMAS Brisbane with Sundive so I'm looking for other suggestions and recommendations of charters. I brought my own gear with the exception of tanks and weights and am an AOW with 100+ dives. They have me staying in Springwood but I have my own vehicle. Any suggestions welcomed, also what's the water temp like at the moment - I packed my versatile 2 piece 5mm suit plus sharkskin vest so unless it's brass monkey cold I should be ok.

Hi,
I would guess you want to try to see regular the charter sites- such as Flinders reef, Flat rock and maybe even Boat rock and Henderson shoal(both have depth involved).

Flat rock if you can get Friday free with godive do a $90 2 dive trip.is the best price available! I have done these guys a few times they are fast boat, well setup and also do the weekends 4trips, 2dives per trip so you could do 8dives for $560(ask for a discount, pay in advance and do the whole 8 dives- while sleeping in your own accommo). They would be my recommendation Scuba Diving Brisbane, PADI Courses, Scuba Diving Gear Brisbane, Dive Brisbane

Other one to take a look at is big cat reality(big slow and stable) for a weekender does the most sites around the north of moreton. $65/ dive accommo for 2 nights and meals- being from out of town you would enjoy the company of the serious divers instead of watching telly at a motel.

Then there's going over to straddy stay for the saturday night and dive both saturday and sunday- get a ferry from redlands bay. $60/Dive(RIB) you get accommo and pick up with manta lodge.

This would be nice if you can make the dates- http://www.divexsite.com/node/894 Ocean cat is the primo vessel' for diving out of brisso and the bunker group- fast and comfy!

Have fun, the conditions are good atm!

Thanks for that Damon. Think work would have my hide if I blew a shift so I could go on a liveaboard, so that option is out. Might book on with go dive for Sunday this weekend and contemplate my options for next weekend. Cheers!

As damon mentioned, Go dive is a great shop to dive with. If they're full you could also try Cooly dive out to cook island. Perhaps not as nice as the other spots mentioned but still a great back up plan. If you're in springwood you're already half way there!
