On Januari 16th we welcomed 78 participants for our Clean up Dive on Bonaire!
Locals and visitors where together to make a difference !
After the briefing by NetTEch's Susan and Dive Friends's Asko people geared up and went into the water. The South Pier is a custom pier and not accessible to divers anymore. There was a lot of trash: 289 Glass Beverage Bottles and ordinary glasses, 36 Beverage Cans, 57 Caps, Lids, 62 Clothing, Shoes, 75 Cups, Plates, Forks, Knives, Spoons, 34 Food Wrappers/Containers, 10 Fishing Lures/Light Sticks, 160 Building Materials and much much more!
After all the hard work, our volunteers went home to freshen up and we met at 5 pm for the famous potluck BBQ! Food and drinks were provided by the sponsors and everyone brought nice side dishes and deserts! We also made some divers happy with prized won in our raffle.
