It's done my daughter and I completed our OW certification dives over the weekend! It was great vis was about 5 ft+ water temp was 80 degrees (~74 inthe thermocline) lots of bass and bluegill to play with. Glad I've finally done it.

"btw are you going to be her regular buddy, vice versa?" Yes, until she goes off to college next year. Also, since she wants to major in marine biology hope to get in some dives when we visit and during start and end of school when we pick her up
Then once she graduates perhaps some good dives as well to see what she's doing in her chosen field.

17 will be 18 in December.
