Does anyone know how I might use my Ikelite Substrobe MS with an Olympus SP-350 camera / PT-030 housing?

The SP has 10 manual strobe settings for non-ttl type strobes like the MS, however the Oly bulkhead probably won't output to your sync cord as Oly uses a proprietary setup. To use a Nikonos type sync cord, you need to add a HeinrichWeikamps bulkhead converter. By the time you add the expense, you would probably be better off getting the Ikelite housing to begin with if you don't already have the PT-030. This is my understanding. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about Ikelite strobes can expand on it. Will the MS operate as a slave? If it does, you shouldn't have a problem.

Buy a Paramount hot shoe connector ($17.00), then wire it to the MS cord (pin outs are in the Ikelite website) assemble the flash system...strobe cord, hot shoe cord and camera. Test fire the camera in manual or aperture priority, if it works buy an Ikelite bulkhead feedthru ($15) see pictures. Remove the Olympus feedthru and enlarge the hole to 7/16" to fit the Ikelite bulkhead, take it to a machine shop if you are not sure.

The MS also works in Slave mode, I like the cord method because if the internal flash is used the fire the slave MS the camera's battery will run down pretty quick.
