Subgear Pressure Gauge: O-ring on back side

Everytime I hook my (new) equipment up the little o-ring on the back side of the gauge pops off. What is wrong with the gauge...? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like an extrusion problem. The bore in the gunge may be too large but that would be a big surprise. More likely it just needs a harder (higher duro) -003 o-ring. You might also try replacing (or even flipping) the spool.

If what I think he is talking about is popping out, that is the pressure relief on the back of the gauge...if that is the case, you have a defective gauge that is leaking high pressure air into the gauge housing. Time to return it to the LSD for replacement.

The backside? Could it be the blowout disc rather than an o-ring? If so, then that might indicate a leak in the bourdon tube. Are there any bubbles coming from the hole? Have a look at this picture and describe where the problem is.

Before you get too happy with me....if he purchased it there, then they owe him a replacement so why shouldn't I send him back to them...afterall they sold him (her??) a defective product.

And to the OP...I agree...take it back. My wife and I have the Subgear SPG and have never had an issue with them. Knock on wood!!!
