Hello - I am diving this weekend, and as usual I am all stuffed up. I usually have one side of my nose stuffed (always when I wake up, a blow sometimes fixes it up - but mostly its throughout the day, not running -- just stuffed). Anyway, my question is.....If I can still clear my ears am I good to dive this weekend? Should I start popping some Sudafed now or not at all (or yes, just not yet ?)

Depends on how badly you are stuffed up. If you take anything like sudafed make sure it is the non-drowsy type. I take the 24 hour type the night before and see how I feel I in the am. If there is any question, I abort the dive. ( I like to hear for the rest of my life)

If you can equalise your ears should be OK. But if your sinuses are congested, you may be risking a reverse block on the way back up. I find snorting sea-water before descent clears them out - not nice at all though. I would recommend missing out if there's any doubt though.
