With metal to metal sometimes you can heat the whole 2 parts then use a spray can of freeze (electronic freeze spray) and this shrinks the inner part if you can use a nozzle on the spray can and squirt the inner metal part only. It then shrinks and the outer part which is still somewhat hotter than the inner part has expanded so they separate and come out easily.
I see that I'm late to this thread, but one more technique that always seems to work is to ultrasonic the whole assembly (I use Tumble Juice rather than vinager - phosphoric acid rather than acetic acid), in warm solution for 5-10 minutes. The sound waves shatter the bond between the stuck parts, even if they don't bubble like corrosion does. Do it warm, as noted in other posts, and you'll get your part out easily.
