Hmm, it might help to know what you have tried thus far. But, I have never encountered a crush washer that I couldn't get out with a dental pick and needle nose pliers. Of course, part of your question may well be, 'how to remove a stubborn crush washer without deforming it', and I am not sure I can help you there.Any advice on how to remove a stubborn crush washer?

It is copper, it is cheap to replace.
Hey, I fully agree, hence my (possibly, tongue in cheek) comment! It isn't a concern for me because I always plan to replace it when I disassemble a valve. Now, having said that, I confess to reusing one or two because of poor planning - I disassembled the valve, and found the bin with the particular replacement needed was empty. In those cases, I re-used the original (obviously, I hadn't deformed it), reassembled the valve, tested it, etc. Not, ideal, but it works. They are one time use and should be replaced every time you take off the bonnet nut. So deforming it should not a concern. Don't scratch the underlying brass of the valve tho!
