strobes with ike sync cord,no need ttl??

Hi all,

I need an advise of strobes to choose from. I have ike's housing and i prefer strobes that takes sync cord from it. I also need a powerful strobes (wide angle shots) but don't care about TTL because i know strobes that offers all of these ttl stuffs are quite expensive.

Ikelite 125s? Awesome strobes and work flawlessly with the Ike housings.

The DS-125s are being replaced by the DS-160s. Ikelite expects to be out of the 125s by the end of this year. As of a couple weeks ago, they were not putting them on sale to get rid of their inventory.

There's also the DS-200 which are more powerful still, but more $$$.

If you're shooting in manual mode only (no TTL needed), there may be other strobes that will suit your needs for less $$. I'm not real familar with any other than Ikelite.

There used to be a real good summary of strobes, on digideep.com or wetpixel.com I believe.
