Hi All,

I just ordered a G7 with with the WP-DC11 housing :D
(My first underwater setup!! Very Excited)

I'm wondering what sort of strobe setup I should look into for this (I'm completely new to UW Photography). I am on a tight budget since I'm about to take off traveling the world/going pro, any recommendations for a solid setup that won't cost as much as my airline ticket??

Also, I know the housing is rated to 40m but has anyone taken it lower?? I'm wondering what the max depth REALLY is so I know when to leave it on the boat!!

Thanks in Advance!!

for what it's worth, I took my old Canon S70 housing (DC40/ rated to 40m) down to around 50-55m. Flooding wasn't the problem... the problem is the springs on the buttons can't handle the pressure at that depth, so various buttons were pushing down all at once, pretty much making the camera inoperatable. So I ended up with pretty much just shots during our deco ascent... :D

edit: oh about strobes... Inon's are rated to 100m...
