Many thanks for your help folks................no joy....tried everything..........even went to B & H today and bought another sensor........I'll just have to send it back to Ikelite..............which the guy in B & H tells me can take several months........could this be true..?
Thanks again.................

First, how long ago did you buy the strobe from B&H? What are they willing to do for you? Don't they stand by what they sell you? Did they offer to help you at all? It will not take several months to get it fixed but you need to call mfg, if B&H will not help.

ReyeR is right on! Contact Ikelite immediately. Their service is not only excellent, it's legendary. If you have a dive trip scheduled, they will do their best to work with you.

The guy in B & H pointed out that I should send it back to Ikelite as it is still under manufacturers warranty................which I suppose, is really all they can do............
he thought, but obviously is wrong, that this can take several months........I bought the new sensor to check if this is where the problem lies........I can return it to B & H for a full refund within two weeks............
Again..............thanks for all your help.....

Before you talk to Ikelite go to their website:

http://www.ikelite.com/faq/faq_syncwiring.html

Try this test, if it does not work read your owners manual on the strobe. There should be a comment about bending the sync connector pins to make a better contact. Sure hate to waste money on the shipping charges when in could just be a bad connection.

Sorry to hear you couldn't get it to work.

Contact Ikelite directly. Their service is excellent.

Just a little update....................Sent the strobe back to Ikelite...........they received it on Thursday last...........on Friday they overnighted me a brand new strobe and sensor................That is even better than excellent service.............

All the best folks.......................

WOW!!
Glad to hear it. My DS125 just came in the mail yesterday, and I'm still poking at it. Hope I won't need this service, but sure am glad it's so good.
