Princeton Tec Aqua Strobe. Two AAs power this compact but powerful strobe. Good for most conditions. (No longer manufactured. Around $25 when available on eBay)
IST LS3 Underwater Strobe. This one runs on one C cell and is more powerful and longer lasting than the Aqua Strobe. ($60 for new)
Ikelite Mini C Strobe. This is the best and most powerful of the strobes used in recreational diving. Many of the live-aboard dive boats use this one for all their night dives. It runs on 4 C cells, is very bright, lasts for hours and can be seen from quite a distance in air or water. Included is the attached titanium Jon-line clip to affix the Mini C Strobe to any down line or anchor line. (Strobe no longer manufactured. Around $65 when available on eBay, clip about $8).
