I am looking at getting a strobe for my Canon S1 and DC-20 housing, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking at spending a huge amount, but I will for the correct set-up. TIA

I have the same set up and had bought the sunpak g-flash. I am quite happy with it for day dives.

During night dives, to allow the S1 to focus I have to use my torch, and I kinda regretted not getting a strobe that has a target/ focus light. The pictures don't turn out very well because sometimes I would see a "brighter spot" caused by the torch... and also it is kind of difficult to juggle with the torch, camera and strobe all at the same time, especially when there's current. Having said that, the problem could very well be that I am only an amateur in photography. :)

I have absolutely no experience with underwater photography, but I decided to try it out when I go to Cocoview in October. The Canon S1 and DC-20 housing is the one I've decided to try out. In my research, scuba.com seems to have a Sealife strobe that works with all digital cameras for just under 300.00.

I have just got back from Koh Samui and I used my S1 & DC20 and they worked great,
I also have a reefmaster strobe but because it was so sunny even at 20 m I couldn't tell any difference.
I've posted a few photos so hopefully they may help, but please remember I'm still a newbie.
