Ah-ha! I knew I had seen something like that somewhere. Makes me wish I hadn't passed up that ebay auction I saw that had one of these thrown in w/ a tray for $35 :depressed:

It looks like you use the little "ball on a pole on a base" thingie to start things off: INON Multi Direct Base II #456212143103

I worked with Jack Connick over at Optical Oceans a few weeks ago and he was good to work with and had the product here in a few days

Again, I appreciate all the help folks. I ended up going w/ Reef's "Deluxe Arm Kit" (3 clamps, 5" arm, 3" arm, + the necessary adapters). I didn't speak to Ryan, but the guy was still incredibly helpful & patient. Add another believer/faithful customer to Reef's already excellent reputation!

Now, to figure out exactly how to arrange this monstrosity!
