Stripped paint from steel tank

Guys at the hydro test stripped some paint when stamping the numbers. What type of paint can I use to cover those patches of stripped paint? Would just standard oil based paint suffice?

Rust-Oleum cold galvanizing spray paint.

It will physically and electrochemically protect steel (and physically protect aluminum).
