Because of the mounting system are there only two choices? crappy originals and spring straps?

What kind of straps do you want on them? The originals are superior to the trashy buckle straps you find on most fins these days, IMO.

The springs are superior to the original straps IMHO. I am curious as well, what kind of straps do you want to put on them?
BTW Jonnythan, still one of the coolest signatures I have seen yet. Off topic I know, but still had to get it out.

well, I have a pair of twin jets with spring heels and figure I might want to go to Jets at some point. If I transfer over the spring heels, the twin jets won't be worth a whole lot without decent straps...

I have seen cases where the original jet fin straps have come off while a diver or snorkeler was swimming. Probably it was user error, but I think that the design of those straps is not the best. Personally, I exchanged them for the spring straps and all has been good.
