Hi everyone,

Last year I was on a dive holiday with my D4i, doing 5 days of diving with 2 dive/day.

On the last day, the computer automatically switched to 'Nitrox' mode. I wasn't able to manually switch it to 'Air' mode, and when I cycled through the modes, the 'Air' option wasn't even there.

Fortunately it was on the last day, rather than the first, but it could have really messed up my dive profile.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a known thing to happen?

Thanks :)

It happens with most of the Suunto computers, you can switch from air to nitrox but not back to air until no fly time has gone back to zero.

Page 17 of their online D4i manual.

No reason to ruin your diving, just set it to Nitrox 21
