Damselfish:
Not only can critters get in stuff, but some like to eat silcone rubber. I had a hole munched in my inflator hose once, believed to be a mouse. Others had mask skirts nibbled. Supposedly silicone tastes sweet to them. This happened on Little Cayman, but I would think it could happen anyplace.
I don't know if it tasted sweet to her or not, but when my Rottie was a pup she definitely had a thing for teething on my reg hoses.

I would also like to add storing the regulators in a sealed environment, like a tupperware tub etc. Lot's of folks get bugs in their mouthpieces and it can't be fun getting a roach instead of air when the season starts back up.

You can tell a happy motorcyclist by the bugs in his smile.

I take it you have never eaten any bugs then?

Pure protein. Not to worry. :)

Egad……I got 6” centipedes and scorpions (one of the prices to pay for Paradise)!
Like, thanks, man.

My mother lived in a trailer and had a rottweiler pup awhile back. She was kept in the kitchen while we were at work, trapped in with one of those baby gates. She ate everything! Chewed up entire chair legs, door knobs, the carpet touching the tile into the kitchen, even a full bag of charcoal. We took her to the vet and she was ok, she just pooped black powder for a week. :11:

even a full bag of charcoal...
 my black lab did the same thing when she was a pup, I used to pen her up in the patio, which has a security fence/gate for the pool, but there's a storeage without a door, I'd put all the chemicals high up, never imagined she'd eat charcoal, came home and a whole bag was gone, bag was shredded everywhere, not a briquette to be found. She's just over a year now, and mostly out of that phase, we still have to buy ALOT of socks though.

Separation anxiety -- need to get a puppie scuba, so they can dog paddle along with you. Watch out, though -- they like to chase catfish :)

I live in Florida, so I don't have to worry about storing my gear. I don't think my gear even gets dry. I feel for you that have to store gear.... Come to Floirda and dive all the time.
