I've just now gotten a Dive Right MR11 HID can light with a Wreck canister, which uses a PVC pipe spacer in the bottom....I have no clue why they don't just produce a shorter canister, but hey, that's DR's call. But it means I have space below the battery for stuff.

1. Is it safe to throw my keys in there?

2. Does anyone here routinely throw stuff like that in their canister?

It's just about two inches vertically tall, plenty of space for keys and maybe even my wallet...

(light was given to me by a very very very generous diver on TDS, JCHartranft...very nice guy....!!)
