We have a few days stopover in Abu Dhabi at the end of September.
Half day diving would be great.
Is there any point in packing the dive computer?
Not looking to dive the aquarium and I am not hauling the camera housing etc. A nice gentle dive good visibility and some coral would be great. If it's not practical then thats fine, any suggestions for other things to do would be appreciated.
Suggested dive operators, and who to avoid.
Thanks in advance

No idea about diving in Abu Dhabi these days, last time I dived that area was over 15 years ago.

You would be better off going to the east coast, but from Abu Dhabi that will be around 3 hours drive each way. The Aquarium is in Dubai.

Other option is Dubai.

Dubai recommendation: The Dive Centre or ProDive

East Coast recommendation: Blue Planet, Divers Down, The Dive Centre, ProDive, Barracuda, the latter being in Fujairah itself, while the others are further north around Dibba / Al Aqah / Khorfakkan
