i was looking into buying one of these as i've only seen good reviews etc etc. the problem that arises is that they just don't seem that popular over here, and seeing as many of you have it fitted in a shop to your size, i feel if i purchased in online from the the great US of A i would be better off buying a more EU friendly brand and one which doesn't have this fitting procedure. seems very pedantic as i've never had a bc properly measured and fitted but it seems like you're paying for a bit of a service as well as a product? I may be putting too much weight on this issue but thought i would ask. Cheers in advance.

Zeagle's personal fit system is the best option for a diver who is a problem to fit.
Most guys fit one of the standard sizes.
If you are an average build you can almost order by your height and weight.
Here in the states we do not charge a premium for doing our job correctly, and we swap components around when necessary to get the best fit for the customer.

I agree. I think you're over thinking it a bit.

I own a Stiletto and love it. If you're an average guy, you're fine ordering based on your height and weight. It's more the difficult to fit guys that need the "customization."

ah ok thanks for the responses guys, i did think i was over doing it a bit but i didn't want to buy it and if it hadn't been fitted it would feel all weird. i'm pretty average 6ft 180lbs, what size do you think i should go for?

I have a size Large. I am 6 ft. I bought it 7 years ago when I weighed 190. I now weigh 205 and it still fits me great. At my heaviest (225) a couple years ago, it got to be on the small side. It fits fine again now.

You're probably fine with a large. It's a great BC. Enjoy!

You're making a good choice in BCD. I'm 5'11" at 190lbs and have a size large - it fits well over 7mm and my 2.5mm.

Consider also picking up the yellow inner weight pockets, the BCD features an integrated weight release system, however, for some reason they zip pockets don't come with the BCD. I've used mine without the pockets and it worked okay, but I got the pockets and feel a little more confident that the weights are not going to slip through the rip chord system.

I would certainly recommend ordering from Capt.Gene and Zeagle Express and taking his advice. I am not a Zeagle dealer, do own an Express Tech and have dealt with him. No hesitation to do so again if necessary.
