I did a very stupid thing two days ago and I ended up with about 6 stiches in my left eyebrow.

I've asked the doctor when can i dive again and she said two weeks should be enough.

But i have one tiny concern, I cut my eyebrow in the place where usually my mask skirt touches my face - would the pressure changes plus mask rubbing against the scar durign the dive be a bad thing? should i wait a little bit longer than those two weeks ?

and one silly question. This was a "diving" accident as in was diving into the pool and hit my face against the bottom of the pool. Would DAN insurance cover this ? :D

there isn´t an exact amount of time, each person is different and each scar is different, you have to be sure that yours is ok before putting your mask on and dive, I think you prefer not to dive for one more week than having a lifelong sacre in your face. About the insurance, I don´t know, but they should cover it, anyway, just ask your insurance company.
good luck.

After the first week is usually the time sutures will be removed, in the face they're removed even earlier to minimise scarring. The amount of scarring will depend on each individuals healing capability and how much movement there is over that area in those early stages. You can always get the scar re-cut again by a plastic surgeon.

If you're worried - just don't dive for another week.
