If anyone needs or wants a dive buddy, I'll be at Sandwich Town beach tomorrow morning. I'll be getting there probably between 9:30 and 10:00.

I'm hoping to catch something for lunch ;)

I'll be in a green Passat.

north or south of boston ?

Sorry for not responding more quickly.

It's just over the Sagamore Bridge on Cape Cod. It's usually a little over an hour from Boston (not counting traffic)

I love diving there, but wouldn't have been able to join you today anyhow...work. One of the best shore sites on the SS for many reasons. Give us a post dive report and good luck.

With the weather reports and our new friend Charley coming to town I was hoping to get in a dive there on Sunday Morning. I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that Charley slows up or goes out to sea much early than they think it will.

Diving on Sunday, 8/15, in New England? A quick peek at the info at www.nhc.noaa.gov should, I hope, dissuade you. In brief: winds of 39-70 mph are expected, rain up to five inches, storm center passing over late morning (or earlier). A good morning to stay home and watch through the window, IMHO.

We dove Sandwich Town Beach today, entering just at high tide. Visibility was only about 10 feet, water at the bottom was 56 degrees, seas were calm enough but there was a slight current pulling you west, toward the canal. Saw a few smaller lobsters, took none. A nice day in the water. A few other divers were right behind us on the ebbing tide.
