I haven't dove Eden Rock shore dive since the damage from the cargo ship back at the end of 2016. Ship owner accepts liability for Eden Rock damage | Cayman Compass

I heard at the time that at least some of the swimthroughs were blocked - are they still? Has anyone dove them in the past year? That site was always pretty beaten-up because of the amount of boat and diver traffic, but it was a nice stand-by shore dive when things get rough further north, along with Sunset House.

Dove it last year the damage was still there but there still are swim throughs .I dive it everytime I am on Island .I usually get there as they open on a non cruise ship day I still like this dive

Why bother? If the silversides are not in, there are many better shore dive locations nearby. Eden Rock was overdived long before the recent ship damage. Drive up to Turtle Reef, Lighthouse or Cobalt Coast instead.

Because, as I said in my original post, sometimes those locations can get blown out, and it becomes a choice of staying on land or getting underwater at a lesser dive site. Sunset House is another back-up for me. I understand that it may not be worth it for you, but there was stuff to see there for the price of a tank to the point where I would just like to know the facts of the site. Thanks

Dove it in beginning of March. Still plenty to enjoy. The damage isn’t as noticeable as you would think.
