I'm new to SCUBA board. Was certified in 92' while attending college in Florida. Once I finished my undergrad at FSU I went on to complete my Master's degree at OHIO State. Being landlocked I fell out of the SCUBA scene and only dove maybe 5 days a year (primarily on vacations to Mexico) for a number of years.
I'm now in NC and have recently discovered how great the diving off our coast can really be. In fact I saw my first sand tiger sharks this past weekend on the Markham wreck off the coast of Wilmington. I bought by own gear this past year and am thoroughly enjoying underwater photograhy and video. Suffice it to say, I'm hooked for good this time. I'll be headed to Cozumel for the second time this year in October. With this next trip I'll have 30 tanks this year alone...which is a lot for me.
In my quest to secure another dive buddy I recently bought my dad SCUBA lessons. He was certified last week and is going with me to Cozumel in October. I guess old dogs can learn new tricks
