It's a fabulous write up as well. I am just astounded at how long it takes to publish to Stage6. Now that I know how to create the videos! :)

Wow, thanks Nick. That was a superlative write-up. SONY and Stage6 should be sending you commission cheques.

What kinds of files can you use with Vimeo? What file size, what dimensions, what codec, etc. And does it re-encode your uploads?

The information is all right here:

Vimeo HD FAQ

Its 1280x720, and you can upload most formats. I usually upload h.264 or WMV. And it does re-encode your uploads.

Its hard to beat Divx for quality and I can't say that Vimeo better than Stage 6, but there is some beautiful video on there and it is quite a bit easier to use.

Wow, Nick thanks for that tutorial!

Perrone - yikes your right, just noticed the new update to divx isn't compatible with the last open source version of Dr. Divx.

I'm done with Stage6. My upload had been sitting for 2.5 days. Think I'll try that Vimeo.
