stage bottle harness

I am using an aluminum 40 as my deco bottle and I have a simple harness to mount on it. My question for you guys is: When securing the harness to the tank, how should you align it? Does it go under the valve? Should it go on the opposite side as the tank valve? It is oriented 90 degrees in one direction or the other from the tank valve? Does it even make a difference? Thanks for your input.
