Looking to take a vac and dive. Curious to dive st Maarten. Any good? Advice who to dive with or resorts that have diving on premises. Which side has better diving French or Dutch side? Any info comments etc. greatly appreciate

St. Marteen is not considered a "dive vacation destination".
It's a place to go that has diving.

Where you stay depends on your budget.
A place that many here rave about is the -> Le Petit Hotel in Grand Case

A dive operator to use on that side of the island is Octopus Diving

The diving is not what I would consider great but its certainly good enough to take to opportunity to do.

A friend of mine dove there and didn't think much of it. Sounds like a place to do a few dives if you wind up there for some other reason, but not so much a place to plan a trip to if your main goal is diving.

My daughter and I were going to Saba for 10 days and decided to dive St Marteen as well to see what it had to offer.
I'm glad we dove there but I would not go there if the primary reason for the trip was to dive.
