Was there just last week.
I enjoyed the diving quite a bit, but like the previous poster, I'm happy if I can see, I'm not cold and the water is blue - I can find things to interest me.
Diving at the base of the Pitons is pretty cool in and of itself. Surfacing 20 yards from a 2600 foot peak at the end of a dive...
No big fish at all as others have said, but plentiful smaller creatures and the coral in some places is a gorgeous riot of purples, oranges, reds, greens and whites.
Superman's Flight was my favorite. Brisk drift dive over a colorful seascape.
Pinnacles was my son's. SLower drift dive around 4 volcanic pinnacles that stretch almost to the surface.

Did 6 tanks down by the Pitons including a night dive on Anse Chastenet reef (where we stayed).
I wouldn't go to St. Lucia just for the diving, but I wouldn't skip it while there. It was well worth the time and money.
